Picture Perfect Practice: A Self-Training Guide to Mastering the Challenges of Taking World-Class Photographs
Amazon | Barnes & Noble

Oh, yeah, baby! I am loving this book! So much is written about the technical aspects of using your camera- and of course that is important if you have a DSLR- but this book has a systematic approach for how to be creative with your camera and how to "see" great photos before you take them. The homework is super fun, too!

p.s. This book isn't just for people with fancy, heavy cameras or lots of gear. If you want to take better pictures with your point and shoot, this book has ya covered.

p.p.s. If this one sounds interesting, a couple of other books you might want to check out are Beyond Snapshots: How to Take That Fancy DSLR Camera Off "Auto" and Photograph Your Life like a Pro & BetterPhoto Basics: The Absolute Beginner's Guide to Taking Photos Like a Pro.

It's fall, y'all! I don't know if your temps have turned cooler yet, but they have here in Germany. I love September & October... the leaves are starting to change and I've been able to wear jackets, at least in the late afternoons or early mornings. All this cool weather makes me want to pour a cup of hot apple cider and curl up with a witchy story. This series is probably my favorite and Dead Witch Walking is book numero uno.

I'm probably going to reread this whole series soon. Witches, vampires, pixies, fairies and elves.... Yeah, that's good autumn reading. Now where's my favorite blanket?

Media Mention

Mike's working nights lately, which can be kind of lonely at times, but the upside is that I can watch anything I want on TV and John Cusack is always good company. This is one of my two favorite movies and I never tire of it.

    1. I have all of the Kim Harrison books in hardback, but I've been reading them for years.
